What We Collect

We (the site operators) do not see or store visitor IP addresses. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate traffic. What appears in our analytics dashboard is aggregated data only: page views, referrers, country, device/browser type, and page information.

GA4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_PCWC4XSF6R — each valid up to 2 years). Visitor IP addresses are received by Google's servers as part of standard web requests and used in-memory for country-level geolocation; per Google, GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.

There are no forms, accounts, newsletters, or sign-in flows on this site — GA4 is the only mechanism that collects visitor data.

Legal Basis

Legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and UK GDPR: understanding aggregate site usage to improve content. If you object, use the opt-out below or your browser's cookie controls.

Recipients, Transfers, and Retention

GA4 data is processed by Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Hosting is provided by Netlify, which processes standard request logs.

GA4 user-level data is retained for up to 14 months (GA4 property setting). Netlify logs follow Netlify's policy.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email hello@kaushikrajan.me. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Opt Out

To block GA4 entirely, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or disable cookies in your browser.

External Links and Changes

This site links to external services (GitHub, Medium, Hugging Face, etc.) which have their own privacy policies. Updates to this policy will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
